Help Map Canada's Defence Innovation Landscape

Canada is investing in defence, security, and sovereign capability at a scale not seen in a generation. To support that effort, we need a clearer picture of the Canadian companies developing the technologies, products, and services that will shape the future of national defence.

The Vimy Forge Expression of Interest is a national mapping initiative designed to identify and better understand Canada's defence, dual-use, and security-relevant innovators.

Whether you are an established defence supplier, a commercial company with dual-use technology, or an early-stage startup exploring opportunities in the sector, we want to hear from you.

By completing this short form, you help build a living picture of Canada's defence innovation ecosystem—showing where capabilities exist, how mature they are, and how they align with Canada's key sovereign capability priorities.

What This Is

This Expression of Interest is a simple mapping exercise.

We are collecting information about Canadian companies, technologies, and capabilities to better understand the current state of the defence innovation landscape across the country.

Information submitted will help Vimy Forge and its partners identify emerging strengths, capability gaps, regional clusters, and opportunities to better connect innovators with operators, industry partners, investors, and government stakeholders.

What This Is Not

This is not an application to a Vimy Forge cohort or accelerator program.

Completing this form does not place you into a selection process, nor does it affect eligibility for future Vimy Forge opportunities. The objective is to build a more complete understanding of the ecosystem, not to evaluate or screen participants.

Who Should Participate?

We encourage submissions from Canadian organizations working in areas such as:

• Artificial Intelligence and Digital Systems
• Cybersecurity and Communications
• Aerospace and Space Technologies
• Sensors and Surveillance Systems
• Autonomous and Uncrewed Systems
• Advanced Manufacturing
• Defence and Security Training Technologies
• Protective Equipment and Human Performance Systems
• Maritime, Arctic, and Sovereignty Solutions
• Other defence or dual-use capabilities

If your technology could support defence, security, public safety, critical infrastructure, or sovereign capability, there is likely a place for you on the map.
